Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assisting in the preparation, review, and auditing of all financial operations in terms of financial and regulatory aspects, including verifying attachments, accuracy of accounts, validity of signatures and authorizations, and confirmations of receipt, to ensure compliance with the approved policies and procedures.
∎ Assisting in the monthly review and reconciliation between the bank account balances in the records and the bank statements and carrying out the necessary reconciliations.
∎ Assisting in preparing the necessary reconciliations between the office accounts and the accounts of external parties dealt with, to ensure the correctness of balances in the system, and following up on supplier payment procedures according to the specified disbursement schedule.
∎ Assisting in preparing trial balances and the required monthly financial reports and submitting them to the concerned entities, as well as preparing the financial statements and business results for the fiscal year.
∎ Upon assignment, participating in the preparation of estimated budgets and the annual plan, procurement committees, and in the follow-up, coordination, and participation in inventory processes of fixed assets, treasury, and warehouses.
∎ Assisting in following up on financial advances with employees and ensuring they are settled within the specified deadlines, and assisting in preparing the fixed asset register, recording in it regularly, and continuously updating it in coordination with the accountant and the support services unit before submitting it to the office manager.
∎ Upon assignment, assisting in coordinating and facilitating the work of internal and external auditors and providing them with the necessary information and details regarding accounts and systems used.
∎ Working on accounting programs, especially Dynamics ERP.
∎ Performing any tasks assigned by the Finance Manager, Office Manager, or relevant departments.
∎ Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
∎ Assist with tax audits and Vat & tax returns.
∎ Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
∎ Context:
∎ The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support decision-making.
