Job Context:
∎ Based in Sylhet/Moulvibazar and Reports to the Field Manager
∎ Position Overview:
∎ The Accounting & Finance Associate will be based at district level and will assist Field Manager in carrying out all accounts and finance related activities. He will be responsible for checking vouchers, recommending for payment, manage petty cash, online and offline financial documentation and carryout banking and other related activities. The position will have regular interactions with all staff of the field office with occasional communication with CO. This position is based at Sylhet and reports to the Field Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist FM to maintain records related book-keeping of financial transactions in field office
∎ Review of expense reports & writing cheques & vouchers and timely disbursement to employees, partners & vendors as per the Room to Read finance policies;
∎ Approves payments, purchase authorizations and other financial transactions to ensure compliance with staff rules, financial rules and implementing instruments/authority
∎ In close coordination with program team, maintains a system to monitor and forecast cash requirements
∎ Assist FM in preparing financial reports by deadlines.
∎ Prepare necessary schedules & assist statutory and internal audit.
∎ Accounting and financial documentation, reporting and forecasting
∎ Banking transaction for Program and Indirect
∎ VAT & TAX submission to Bank
∎ Maintain documentation if all necessary finance documents and files in appropriate manner
∎ Other tasks, as required.

∎ Required:
∎ Minimum 2-3 years of experience of working in accounting and finance position;
∎ Experience of working with NGO is preferred
∎ Good interpersonal skills and a team player
∎ Relevant computer-operating skills and relevant software
∎ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
