Responsibilities & Context:
∎ As an Assistant Engineer - Quality Control (QC), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of products or services within the organization.
∎ You will work closely with the Quality Control team to implement Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes, conduct inspections, perform tests, and identify areas for improvement. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards will contribute significantly to the success of the organization.
∎ Conduct Inspections: Perform regular inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and industry regulations.
∎ Testing: Execute various testing procedures and methodologies to assess product performance, functionality, and safety. This may involve using specialized equipment and adhering to standard testing protocols.
∎ Document and Report: Maintain detailed inspection and testing results records, including deviations or non-conformances found during the quality control process. Prepare accurate and comprehensive reports to communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
∎ Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, product enhancements, or corrective actions based on QC findings.
∎ Maintaining a routine market visit for competitive analysis of products and reviewing quality factors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions and ensure continuous quality enhancement.
∎ Compliance: Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and quality control best practices.
∎ Ensure the organization remains compliant with relevant quality standards and certifications.
∎ Root Cause Analysis: Assist in conducting root cause analysis for quality-related issues or defects, and participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
∎ Training and Support: Provide support to production teams in understanding quality control requirements, procedures, and standards.
∎ Conduct training sessions or workshops as necessary.
∎ Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with the procurement department to evaluate supplier quality, conduct audits, and establish measures to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
∎ Quality Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining quality control documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for different quality processes, quality manuals and work instructions.
∎ Communication: Collaborate with various departments, including Production, R&D, and Engineering, to foster a culture of quality and ensure that quality standards are understood and upheld throughout the organization.
