∎ Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Related Field.
∎ Certifications in import/export operations or supply chain management are a plus.
∎ Minimum 15-20 years in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of import procedures, customs, and bonded warehouse operations.
∎ Strong understanding of international trade laws, customs regulations, and bonded warehouse management.
∎ Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
∎ Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
∎ Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Related Field.
∎ Certifications in import/export operations or supply chain management are a plus.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee and manage the entire export and import process, including shipment tracking, customs clearance, C&F dealings, shipping line coordination, freight forwarding, and transportation logistics.
∎ Ensure compliance with the latest import and export policies, customs bond rules, bond audits, and renewal of bond licenses.
∎ Manage and coordinate with relevant authorities such as UD, BGMEA, and EPB for smooth operations.
∎ Follow up to collect Export/Master L/C, Sales Contract and lien with nominated Bank after checking, follow-up export shipment and payment/acceptance with bank & export balance & shipment schedule to maintain with merchandisers as buyer wise, allocations for Back to Back L/C opening for Fabrics, trims and accessories & adjustments, Back to Back L/C Checking, Master/Export L/C checking and arranging transportation of good from Port.
∎ Coordinate with Merchandising, Accounts, and Finance departments to ensure smooth export shipment scheduling and fund management.
∎ Maintain import payment schedules for EDF, Sight, and Deferred BTB L/C, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
∎ Oversee the collection of export bills and realization of proceeds within stipulated timeframes.
∎ Chek and verify import documents, endorse from bank and timely handover to C & Agent.
∎ Reporting to Management for total Import and Export position by co-ordination with Department team members on daily, weekly, monthly basis as per requirement.
∎ Handle all import-related documentation such as invoices, packing lists and Bills of Lading.
∎ Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements including INCOTERMS.
∎ Manage the customs bonded warehouse, ensuring compliance with customs and excise regulations.
∎ Monitor and manage inventory control of bonded goods and maintain appropriate records.
∎ Oversee periodic audits of bonded materials and ensure proper customs clearance.
∎ Coordinate with customs brokers and government agencies to ensure the timely clearance of imported goods.
∎ Prepare and review all necessary documents for customs and bonded warehouse operations.
∎ Resolve disputes or issues related to customs duties and regulatory compliance.
∎ Negotiate with shipping lines, freight forwarders and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers for seamless supply chain operations.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on import and bond operations for management review.
∎ Lead a team of import and bond officers and provide guidance on import processes and regulatory compliance.
∎ Conduct regular training for staff on updates in import and export regulations.
