Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collects and analyzes data on consumers, competitors, and the marketplace.
∎ Work cross-functionally to build relevant primary research collection tools for customers.
∎ Identify and collect relevant data points, for example -
∎ o Consumers: Demographics, buying habits, needs, and price points.
∎ o Competitors: Pricing structures, current tactics, and sales channels.
∎ Construct and maintain a central database for recording market data. Expected to monitor the quality of the data, continually implement improvements, and train appropriate staff as necessary.
∎ Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in research matters.
∎ Product quality feedback from the Market.
∎ Provides critical information about our market and business landscape.
∎ Analyze data and forecast future trends.
∎ Use integrity measures to check the quality of recorded data.
∎ Prepare and submit regular reports to the head of marketing that summarize findings in a digestible, graphical, and actionable manner.
∎ Attend weekly sales meetings and present our research.
∎ Build out internal communication channels to keep the wider business updated with market news.
∎ Work with the teams to devise future commercial strategies based on your findings.
