∎ Join Practical Action Consulting’s dynamic team in Bangladesh as an Assistant Officer – Fundraising, based in Dhaka. This exciting role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to positive change for the world. As an organized and inquisitive individual, you will play a crucial role in supporting the fundraising activity for the Practical Action Consulting Bangladesh.
∎ Fundraising and proposal developments (80%)
∎ ·Develop proposals, budgets, Expressions of Interest (EoI), and tender documents, meeting minutes to facilitate fundraising efforts.
∎ ·Analysis of current and past financial data, assist to take actionable strategies to reduce costs and enhance revenue streams.
∎ ·Foster effective communication channels between internal and external staff, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration.
∎ ·Draft agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), and other confidential letters to support fundraising initiatives.
∎ · Prepare detailed reports and presentations, actively collaborating with team members to convey fundraising objectives and outcomes.
∎ ·Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis, utilizing insights to inform and optimize fundraising strategies.
∎ ·Maintain and regularly update the company database, ensuring data accuracy and relevance for fundraising activities.
∎ ·Establish and organize a comprehensive filing system for important and confidential company documents related to fundraising.
∎ · Provide essential support to the Business Development team by actively monitoring routine data management, conducting database development, validation checks, and reviews.
∎ · Actively participate in various meetings, taking a proactive role in documenting processes and outcomes related to fundraising activities.
∎ ·Contribute to the evolution of office policies as needed, aligning them with the objectives of the fundraising department.
∎ ·Collaborate with the Managing Director - PAC to identify and pursue new opportunities for financial support and partnerships.
∎ ·Assist in organizing fundraising events and campaigns, coordinating logistics and ensuring seamless execution.
∎ ·Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising, incorporating relevant strategies into the company's fundraising approach.
∎ ·Collaborate with external partners and donors, maintaining positive relationships and facilitating ongoing engagement.
∎ ·Prepare and submit grant applications, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and deadlines.
∎ ·Assist in developing and implementing strategies to cultivate and steward donor relationships.
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Reporting (15%)
∎ ·Contribute to developing tools and guidelines aligned with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) plan focusing PAC.
∎ ·Support the program delivery team in the development of new projects, ensuring fundraising efforts are integrated into the project development process.
∎ Track achievements of outputs and outcomes through result-based monitoring to demonstrate the impact of fundraising activities.
∎ ·Document learning and best practices from fundraising activities for future program development.
∎ ·Assist in preparing annual and donor reports, providing required analytical support for fundraising performance and impact assessment.
∎ Organizational Policies, Safeguarding and Code of Conduct (5%)
∎ ·Ensure that all involved acting on the organisation’s behalf is well aware on Safeguarding Policy, Diversity and Dignity in the Workplace Policy, Code of Conduct, Fraud policy and Whistleblowing policy.
∎ ·Ensure beneficiaries whom we work with are aware of the safeguarding policy including the reporting lines when appropriate.
∎ ·Be responsible that anyone acting on our behalf has signed up to the Safeguarding and Code of Conduct policies.
∎ ·Ensure our ethics and values, as set out in our Code of Conduct and related policies, including safeguarding, are embedded in team culture, and well modelled by others. Ensure that reporting structure are well promoted and respond to all concerns appropriately.
