∎ Job Summary: Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS), a national NGO, is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Program Officer-Health for its Health Program. This role requires strong analytical capacity and in-depth knowledge of monitoring and supervision of health and nutrition activities. The ideal candidate must be capable of overseeing the day-to-day field activities of the health program and maintaining liaison with government officials. The position demands the ability to navigate the challenges of field activities and foster community engagement.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Major responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
∎ • Provide support to head office and field-level team members in the implementation of Health-related activities at the community level.
∎ • Design/assist in developing different health programs, events, and training materials to meet the goals of the social services program of the organization.
∎ • Regular on-site monitoring of the program activities, and sessions and support implementation of jointly developed plans.
∎ • Follow up sessions, and services, maintain records and provide necessary support to field team members.
∎ • Capacity Building of assigned field team members on different initiatives, strategies of health programs of the organization.
∎ • Provide assistance in the preparation of budgets for different health projects and oversee the expenditures.
∎ • Work closely with other managers, vendors and financial supporters in developing, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to budgets.
∎ • Keep informal learning network with other organizations doing health programs in working areas of MSS.
∎ • Build and maintain reliable partnerships and healthy relationships with the community, other organizations, donors/sponsors, education service providers, and government agencies.
∎ • Document program experiences and lessons effectively and sharing with other team members
∎ • Prepare reports independently and provide support in the preparation of different reports and also presentations on the basis of reports to the senior management of the organization to keep them informed about ongoing activities and health program development.
∎ • Provide support in the preparation of different presentations on programs' activities to national and international visitors.
∎ • Willing to work in any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh
∎ • Participate in meetings, trainings, seminars, and workshops (at national & international level) as desired by the program and organization.
∎ • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
