Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date data for the camp while supporting shelter and site development by collecting, organizing, and storing information using online and offline tools
∎ Create data visuals, prepare detailed reports using MS Word and Excel, ensure accurate information for camp manager's decisions, and share information with relevant stakeholders.
∎ Manage the shelter team’s information hub, ensuring accurate and timely data management.
∎ Utilize both online and offline tools for data collection, entry, and storage.
∎ Assist and train volunteers during data collection for surveys, needs assessments, service gap analysis, or other relevant processes.
∎ Produce high-quality reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) using BRAC’s formats for internal reporting and funding agency’s formats for external reporting.
∎ Prepare required maps using ArcGIS or QGIS based on provided data.
∎ Provide daily shelter and site development reports using KoBo, MHIRT, CAIPP and other tools.
∎ Act as an information desk officer of the camp at shelter camp office, providing updated information to community.
∎ Support the shelter team in coordinating service delivery and communication with stakeholders to avoid duplication in humanitarian service provision.
∎ Maintain open, supportive, and professional relationships with team members, and promote a strong team spirit.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ The role supports shelter and site development activities in information management particularly reporting in online reporting tools, reports writing, information storing, and dissemination as required. The post holder will ensure data collection, data entry, visualization of data and preparing reports and other documents in MS word and Excel at high standards to help the camp manager in decision making.
