Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Reviewing interview transcripts and drafted research reports/publications.
∎ Preparation of blog posts for global audience (number of blogs 2).
∎ Preparation of documents to assist sanitation workers and municipalities – specifically identifying causal factors for sanitation workers’ organisations’ functionality and success.
∎ Drafting initial reports – for (i) policy recommendations, (iii) knowledge sharing handouts.
∎ Preparatory and administrative support for hosting two knowledge sharing events – one in Faridpur and one in Dhaka.
∎ assisting in the planning and execution of knowledge sharing events both regionally (Faridpur) and national-level in Dhaka.
∎ This role will be a fix term – 3 month contract specifically assisting in the dissemination of knowledge documents and events, and policy and influence publications to assist in the finalisation and closure of the ongoing Sanitation Workers’ Research Project funded by the Initiative for Sanitation Workers (World Bank, International Labour Organisation, World Health Organisation, WaterAid and SNV Netherlands).This research project has been working with sanitation workers and their cooperatives to gain a deeper understanding of their lives and livelihood, and to understand opportunities for improving their working conditions and capacity.This role will support the project to ensure all data and implications from the field work and data analysis are accurately captured in reporting and dissemination to relevant stakeholders.
