∎ At least 5 years of experience in midwifery activities related to maternal and child health, with a preference for experience in emergency obstetric and neonatal care (BEmONC).
∎ Sound knowledge on the Bangladesh health system; experience in working with Hospital settings and UN Cluster or other stakeholders in both development and emergency setting.
∎ Ability to manage and mentor medical staff.
∎ Strong clinical knowledge and expertise.
∎ Excellent leadership and communication skills.
∎ Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and handle medical emergencies.

∎ The Opportunity
∎ The BEmONC Lead will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth implementation of all Sexual Reproductive Maternal Newborn Health (SRMNH) midwifery activities, with a strong emphasis on clinical leadership, diagnosis, midwifery case management, and newborn care, including neonatal resuscitation and safe referral. This role requires active involvement in planning, organizing, and supervising midwifery activities related to the continuum of maternal and newborn care. The BEmONC Lead will collaborate closely with other medical staff, ensure high-quality midwifery care delivery, manage midwifery resources efficiently, and contribute to the professional development of midwifery staff. This role will engage and coordinate with cross-thematic areas such as MHPSS, the CHW team, the GBV focal point, and CP.
