Job Context:
∎ The Business Intelligence Engineer is to provide strategic support for the management and responsible for the technical implementation of current and future data warehouse, business intelligence solutions, dashboard development, development of reports, dashboard, visualization tools and analytics.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement new business intelligence and data warehouse requirements through the use of SQL, ETL, business intelligence tools, and database programming and reporting tools.
∎ Full life-cycle development and maintenance of data warehouse, ETL, figure out the gaps to meet the business need and bridge them with proper solutions.
∎ Develop, implement, and maintain ETL (extract, transform, and load) solutions to bring new data into the data warehouse. Develop optimized database design to achieve acceptable performance by tuning view, tables and indexes for proper response time.
∎ Develop new capabilities and architectures that capitalize on the development of client portal, and ad-hoc BI capabilities.
∎ Determine root-cause problems for data integrity and data quality issues identified through QA or by business report owners.
∎ Facilitate reporting or data inquiry or issue resolution sessions with Functional Users and technical team.
∎ Provide guidance on data requirements, data availability, and Reporting capabilities to users.
∎ Manage all aspects of business intelligence, data integrity and security
∎ Drive Data Dictionary standards.
∎ Enforce Data Security.
∎ Review all work products to assure reasonable compliance with departmental standards of documentation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Skilled with Business Intelligence experience.
∎ Relational database experience with MSSQL ,Oracle, or MySQL.
∎ 3-4 years of experience managing and delivering as a BI professional/developer.
∎ Skilled in data modeling, data warehouse design principles, and best practices.
∎ Skilled in Data Extraction tools like SSIS
∎ Knowledge on well-known tools like MS Power BI,SSRS, D3.JS, Open Source tools
∎ Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills.
∎ Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
∎ Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
∎ Highly self-motivated and directed.
∎ Keen attention to detail.
