Job Responsibilities:
∎ Role overview: Entrepreneurship program supports enterprises at all levels, from start-ups to 'investment ready' ventures. One of the biggest challenges for entrepreneurs to grow and sustain their business is a lack of business knowledge and missing provider of business services in rural areas.
∎ One of the intermediate results (IR) of the USAID funded Youth Empowerment for Social Cohesion (YESC) in Cox's Bazar is having iimproved access of vulnerable and marginalized community members to agricultural value chains through engagement with the private sector and government authorities. One of the key components of this IR is to strengthen capacity of entrepreneurs and outlet owners to provide inputs and market linkage support. The placement of national volunteer is focusing on to train the women and youth as entrepreneur to run the sales and service centers
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience of work as interpreter
∎ Experience coaching or mentoring of entrepreneurs
∎ Experience in small & medium entrepreneur development
∎ A good understanding of business operations
∎ Competencies and Behaviour
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ As a VSO volunteer, you will be sharing your skills with local communities on a full time basis. VSO will cover your travel, vaccinations, accommodation, and medical insurance costs, along with a local living allowance which will be paid in local currency. This allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home. You will also receive some financial support to contribute to your on-going expenses at home.
