Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct thorough initial assessments to ensure the immediate safety and well-being of survivors, upholding their dignity and confidentiality.
∎ Implement a survivor-centered approach, adhering to GBV guiding principles in all interactions.
∎ Facilitate appropriate and ethical referrals to various service providers.
∎ Arrange and coordinate case conferences for survivors as needed.
∎ Obtain informed consent from survivors, efficiently receiving and classifying cases.
∎ Conduct detailed assessments and develop tailored case plans for GBV survivors.
∎ Provide culturally sensitive psychosocial support and counseling to survivors.
∎ Coordinate with relevant service providers to ensure survivors access necessary services, such as medical care, legal assistance, and safe shelter.
∎ Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in case records, adhering to ethical standards.
∎ Implement information sharing protocols (ISP) for case management data.
∎ Securely store all case files in a locked cabinet system.
∎ Regularly input data into the GBVIMS system following intake form information.
∎ Collaborate with the GBV case management supervisor for regular supervision and coaching.
∎ Provide technical support and capacity building to case management volunteers.
∎ Support awareness-raising campaigns on GBV, social mobilization, and other program events within the protection program.
∎ Stay informed about the updated GBV referral pathways and maintain coordination with other service providers to ensure timely and appropriate services for GBV survivors.
∎ Participate in relevant trainings and apply knowledge to improve case management practices.
∎ Provide training to community volunteers, local partners, and stakeholders on GBV prevention and response.
∎ Contribute to the development and implementation of capacity-building initiatives within the community.
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting§ Support client feedback surveys through exit interviews.
∎ Assist in monitoring, assessment, and evaluation activities, including Key Informant Interviews (KII), surveys, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and safety audits.
∎ Act as a key source of safeguard colleagues, regularly updating team members on Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse (SHEA) guidelines and best practices.
∎ Foster a sense of unity and shared purpose through regular team meetings, recognizing and celebrating team achievements.
∎ Job Context:
∎ This position serves as a first responder plays a crucial role in addressing and mitigating gender-based violence (GBV) issues within the Rohingya community in Cox's Bazar. The incumbent will provide comprehensive case management services to survivors, collaborate with local partners and stakeholders, and contribute to the overall GBV prevention and response efforts in camp settings.
∎ Key Responsibilities (But not limited to)
∎ GBV Case Response:
