Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist customers in selecting and purchasing medicines and healthcare products.
∎ Check prescriptions for accuracy and clarity before selling medications (under supervision if needed).
∎ Maintain an organized inventory and update stock records regularly.
∎ Monitor medicine expiry dates and ensure proper disposal of expired stock.
∎ Handle billing, cash register operation, and maintain daily sales reports.
∎ Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the shop.
∎ Answer customer queries related to over-the-counter (OTC) medications.
∎ Ensure proper labeling and shelving of medicines.
∎ Support in ordering new stock and liaising with suppliers/distributors.
∎ Follow all regulatory and legal guidelines for selling medicines.
∎ Minimum HSC or equivalent education.
∎ Prior experience in a pharmacy or medical store (preferred).
∎ Basic knowledge of common medicines and uses.
∎ Ability to read and understand prescriptions.
∎ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Honest, punctual, and responsible in handling medicine and cash.
∎ Basic computer knowledge for billing or inventory systems.
∎ Diploma in Pharmacy (not mandatory but a strong plus).
