Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
∎ Overseeing the accounting team, Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
∎ Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
∎ Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
∎ Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
∎ Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.·      Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and initiatives.
∎ Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
∎ Advising business owners and individuals on the tax code.
∎ Working with external auditors to ensure the company's financial dealings are transparent and accountable Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
∎ Participating in negotiations with banking institutions.
∎ Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in financial management processes.

As the Chief Accountant, you will demonstrate your exceptional management skills and accounting expertise in a variety of personal and corporate accounting practices, including overseeing payroll and taxes. Your accuracy, efficiency, and in-depth knowledge of the current tax code will ensure that consistent, accurate accounting services are provided to our clients daily.
