Education:
∎ Masters
∎ Master's degree in Anthropology, Environmental Science, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.

∎ Strong skills in report writing, documentation, and data analysis.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Organize and facilitate community awareness sessions on Climate change and health care both at facility and community
∎ Conduct Rainwater harvesting campaign emphasizing safer rainwater harvesting, water conservation, and energy efficiency
∎ Develop and distribute informational materials (leaflets, posters, digital content) on safe water usage and climate-related risks
∎ Engage local communities, youth groups, and hospital staff in sustainable waste management and hospital cleaning programs
∎ Conduct surveys, focus group discussions, and consultations to gather community insights and improve project interventions
∎ Maintain records of community engagement activities, training sessions, and awareness campaigns
∎ Document best practices, lessons learned, and impact assessments for internal and external reporting
∎ Develop and manage a digital waste register and tracking systems for waste segregation and disposal
∎ Support training programs on energy conservation, waste management, and green hospital practices
∎ Facilitate periodic progress review meetings with stakeholders to assess project impact
∎ Support the creation of a knowledge-sharing platform for hospitals to exchange best practices
∎ Assist in preparing reports, case studies, and publications related to project impact and sustainability efforts
∎ Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and hospital authorities to strengthen sustainability initiatives.
∎ The Green Hospital Initiative (GHI) is a pilot project by Partners in Health and Development (PHD) under the Improving Women and Girls’ Resilience to Climate Change (IWGRCC) project. It was launched at Mongla Upazila Health Complex in Bagerhat District with technical guidance from the Climate Change and Health Promotion Unit (CCHPU), Health Service Division of MoHFW. The initiative aims to make healthcare facilities in Bangladesh more environmentally sustainable by reducing carbon emissions, improving resource use, and enhancing patient care through eco-friendly practices. Its main goal is to generate strong evidence on impact and efficiency, focusing on the most climate-vulnerable communities. The project aims to scale up sustainable public health solutions and influence policies for wider adoption.
∎ Position Objective: The CCDO will assist in ongoing GHI activities and 2025 initiatives, working closely with the UHFPO, Mongla, for effective implementation. CCDO will educate communities on climate change, promote sustainable healthcare practices, and support outreach initiatives. The role includes managing digital dataset, data analysis for decision-making and policy development.
