Job Context:
∎ Abt Associates seeks a qualified Communications Officer for the Feed the Future Bangladesh Nutrition Activity (BNA/Activity). This is a full-time position is based in Dhaka.
∎ The goal of BNA is to contribute to improvements in nutrition outcomes for children under five, pregnant and lactating women, and adolescent girls in the Feed the Future Zone of Influence (ZOI) by (1) increasing consumption of nutritious, diverse, and safe diets by rural households; (2) increasing social and economic empowerment of girls and women; and (3) improving adoption of improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices.
∎ The Activity uses a two-pronged approach-social and behavior change (SBC) and market systems development (MSD)-to introduce catalytic, scalable interventions and promote doable behaviors through local actors and systems that will sustainably improve nutritional outcomes. The Activity is targeting three key entry points for nutrition: consumer behaviors, supply chains, and environments. This Activity will implement nutrition-sensitive interventions that complement and reinforce ongoing nutrition-specific activities.
∎ Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Officer is responsible for production of draft communication products, implementing the Activity`s communications and outreach strategy, and reviewing communication products for adherence to the project`s Branding and Marking Plan.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the Communications Manager in developing/adapting the Activity's communication strategy.
∎ Develop draft communication products including social media posts, newsletters, success stories, technical/intervention briefs, and multimedia products.
∎ With guidance from the Communications Manager, disseminate communication products via channels identified in the Activity's communications strategy.
∎ Source high-quality photographs and infographics for use in communication products. Ensure compliance to ethics standards in photography and quotes.
∎ Support updating the repository of the Activity's technical products (reports, presentations, publications, key client communication) in SharePoint/Teams
∎ Lead editing and formatting of reports and presentations.
∎ Review communication products for compliance to USAID and Feed the Future branding and editorial style.
∎ Support the project's technical, cross-cutting, and operations teams in organizing meetings and events.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Prior experience working on donor-funded projects, preferably with USAID
∎ Excellent English language proficiency, including report writing skills
∎ Strong creative and analytical skills
∎ Ability to remain organized and deliver results under pressure
∎ Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience in Google platforms and other virtual working platforms a plus.
