Job Responsibilities:
∎ Role overview One of the intermediate results (IR) of the USAID funded Youth Empowerment for Social Cohesion (YESC) in Cox's Bazar is having improved access of vulnerable and marginalized community members to agricultural value chains through engagement with the private sector and government authorities. The project will bring youth, EMGs, and young women at the centre of the community's transformational changes. Community youth (including EMGs) and women will be selected as entrepreneurs and provided with business and financial management training.
∎ The placement of national volunteer focuses on working with community youth and mobilizing the community, building awareness, engaging with different stakeholders, and mitigating conflicts by building these stakeholders and community capacities. The volunteer will build the youth club members' leadership skills and enhance their involvement to make local government accountable and responsive to their needs.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ As a VSO volunteer, you will be sharing your skills with local communities on a full time basis. VSO will cover your travel, vaccinations, accommodation, and medical insurance costs, along with a local living allowance which will be paid in local currency. This allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home. You will also receive some financial support to contribute to your on-going expenses at home.
