Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc)
∎ Candidates should have 6 months fire safety training (Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting & Rescue) from recognized institute i.e., FSM from BFSCD, International Certification on Fire Safety.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Compliance, Factory Compliance, Fire and Safety, Health/ Safety & Fire, safety
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To assist the management in preparing and implementing Safety Management System as well as provide technical support on Fire Safety matters.
∎ To establish procedure in accordance with Bangladesh Labor Law, BLR 2015, ILO Convention, BNBC 2006, fire prevention & firefighting law related on RMG sector in Bangladesh as well as requirements (COC) maintain in terms of Buyer Compliance & and other applicable codes and standards
∎ Preparing and implementing a fire safety and prevention plan for the buildings. I.e. Emergency Response Plan, Fire Safety Plan, Fire department pre--planning etc.
∎ Ensuring at fire safety requirements contained with Emergency Response Plan.
∎ To assist management in running daily operations by monitoring and inspecting work activities to ensuring safe work practices that are carried out in all work operations and maintaining records.
∎ To conduct inspection, testing & commissioning of Fire detection & protection system.
∎ Conducting, supervising and evaluating the fire and emergency evacuation drill of all buildings in the factory consulting with concerned personnel.
∎ Investigating and reporting all accidents, recommending corrective actions and verifying the approved corrective actions those are taken.
∎ Conducting employees' trainings on fire safety on regular basis including orientation for new employees, BFST, SC, SG, supervising fire wardens and training fire and evacuation supervisors.
∎ Participating in communication methods, such as safety committee meetings and notices and ensuring relevant information is communicated across the department of facilities and including the management in all processes.
∎ To be familiar with all phases of development and implementation of an effective compliance program.
∎ Interacting with factory floor personnel to prepare them for compliance audits and making them aware on maintaining better compliance standards.
∎ Looking after the occupational health & safety and environmental safety issues of the factory.
∎ To maintain Liaison with regulatory bodies & interested parties on Fire Safety & OSH related issues.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Additional certifications i.e., Certified in First Aid and CPR, Hot work Safety Assessor, Risk Assessment, Trained the Trainer program (TtT), PGD in Social Compliance etc.
∎ Certificate in internal /Lead Auditor ISO14001/ISO18001/SA8000 etc.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
∎ Familiar with all phases of development and implementation of an effective compliance program.
