Job Responsibilities:
∎ The project has three specific objectives as: (1) To awaken the community awareness of a culture of universal dignity and diversity founded upon a multiplicity of values, principles and practices of mutual recognition, respect for differences, tolerance, trust, cooperation and accountability through social interaction and participation. (2) To activate and strengthen the Union Parishad (UP) standing committees (SCs) to facilitate the social bonding and bridging between the host and Rohingya communities; and (3) To minimize the risks of intra-household, inter-household, and inter-community conflicts through mediating grievances, supporting livelihoods, and facilitating access to basic services and opportunities for the excluded, marginalized, and low-income community people.
∎ Whilst the expected outcomes are: (a) The group members from the host and Rohingya community are aware of evils and consequences of the conflict and hostility between the two communities; (b) Positive attitudes to each other are developed among the group members through social participation and social interaction; (c) Community and civil society leaders are motivated and mobilized to resolve the grievances at the intra-household, intra-household and inter-community levels; (d)Access to alternative livelihood and service opportunities increased and grievances resolved; € The risks of conflict and tension between the two communities are reduced and their relationships improved.
∎ To evaluate the project achievements and impacts in line with project goal-objectives and strategy-approach, we are searching for an expertise consultant to be hired to undertake project endline study.
