Job Context:
∎ The position of Coordinator-ADWG is an ambitious and exciting senior role to support and develop the ADWG in Cox`s Bazar, managing the delivery of the ADWG work plan and ensuring that relationships with ADWG members, different sectors, Working Groups and other stakeholders are developed, coordinated and maintained. The post holder will be a strong, adaptable manager with the ability to drive work forward while maintaining active collaboration and engagement with ADWG members. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience of managing high-profile, multi-stakeholder projects; be familiar with the humanitarian architecture in Rohingya setting; and have strong verbal and written communication skills. The position will be hosted by CBM, but will be accountable to, and represent all co-chairs of the ADWG.

∎ Reporting to: CBM`s Humanitarian Disability Inclusion Advisor based in Cox`s Bazar

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Act as a hub for strategic and operational relationships with and between ADWG members and (I)NGO, UN, government and other humanitarian actors, ensuring that lines of communication are clear, partnerships are of mutual benefit and issues of concern are appropriately flagged. Upon request of the ADWG co-chairs, represent the ADWG in sector and bilateral meetings.
∎ Implement a range of key activities to ensure existence of ADWG in the coordination structure of the humanitarian response in Bangladesh. Support the ADWG members to better engage and influence the humanitarian policy environment in the humanitarian response, and coordinate input from ADWG members into Humanitarian Response Plans, Preparedness Plans and other policy documents.
∎ Monitor the progress of the ADWG workplan, in line with the ADWG ToR, to ensure achievement of activities remains on track. Raise any delays or deviations with the ADWG co-chairs.
∎ Provide secretarial support to the chair in convening meetings and preparing agenda, action points and minutes.
∎ Support the ADWG members to communicate and share ideas, experiences and learning both internally and with different sectors and Working Groups.
∎ Write regular reports and other documents needed to meet the deliverable and reporting commitments of the project.
∎ Responsible for management of assigned donor contracts within the portfolio, including ensuring quality and timely reporting to donors and other liaison as needed.
∎ Actively solicit and support involvement from organizations of persons with disabilities (DPOs) and older persons associations (OPAs) in the ADWG and humanitarian coordination system
∎ Take proactive responsibility for staying informed about developments and good practice in disability inclusion and mainstreaming. Closely monitor the local context and provide co-chairs with updated on contextual changes to promote informed decision making.
∎ Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities as requested by CBM's Humanitarian Disability Inclusion Advisor and other ADWG members
∎ Key working relationships:
∎ CBM International:
∎ Humanitarian & DRR Coordinator overall project strategy and direction in Cox's Bazar.
∎ CBM Humanitarian Disability Inclusion Advisor for technical support and guidance, planning and reporting.
∎ ADWG Members:
∎ The ADWG members (mainly chair) regarding the overall direction and progress on the ADWG, monthly plans, progress and reporting against activities and outputs, outcomes, advocacy, capacity building, learning generated from project/ engagement in Rohingya refugee setting.
∎ ISCG/Sectors/ Working Groups:
∎ Represent the ADWG in different sectors especially in health, protection etc in Rohingya refugee setting.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong working knowledge of the humanitarian coordination system and humanitarian architecture and experience working with partners and other international stakeholders (UN, INGOs) essential.
∎ Experience in inclusion of at risk groups ideally in humanitarian context- persons with disabilities, women, children, and older people desirable.
∎ Knowledge / understanding on the rights and associated inclusion standards of persons with disabilities, older people or other at risk groups and their challenges in humanitarian/development context highly desirable.
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication and coordination skills. Previous experience in a coordination role involving multiple stakeholders highly desirable.
∎ Fluent in spoken and written English and Bangla. Ability to prepare quality reports and presentations for a range of key audience.
∎ Strong organizations skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload under pressure.
∎ Experience in an advocacy or technical support position highly desirable.
