Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Identify fundraising opportunities and draft new proposals and concept notes of high-quality and competitive nature which are consistent with donor’s requirements and regulations.
∎ Maintain an efficient system for proposal development including clear responsibilities outlined for management, programs, finance, and operations departments - that yields timely, high quality inputs for submissions.
∎ Organize program design workshops for new business development opportunities.
∎ Coordinate with Finance team to ensure that, budget templates are developed and shared with the team on time; ensure that the budget is reviewed by relevant functions before sign-off.
∎ Represent RDRS in various donor coordination meetings and external forums as required for business development and other grants functions.
∎ Develop briefing paper for donor visits and coordinate external visits which are relevant for business development.
∎ Conduct community needs assessment as part of concept note and business development initiatives.
∎ Provide leadership and guidance for development and management of partnerships with potential international, local, and national NGOs, private sector and other relevant actors which are in line with RDRS's Strategic vision, partnership, and Fundraising Strategy.
∎ Forster building and strengthening relationship with donor, partner organizations based on transparency, mutual respect, inclusion, accountability, effective communication, and coordination.
∎ Maintain a working knowledge of the funding and donor landscape in Bangladesh; and establish, build, and maintain a network of strategic partners, including with women-led organizations as per RDRS five years strategy.
∎ In accordance with RDRS partnership strategy, oversee all aspects of partnership life cycle management, from partner mapping analysis, partner identification, due diligence, project development, agreement signing, start-up, implementation, monitoring and accountability including close-out, coordinating effectively with other departments.
∎ Other duties as assigned by the RDRS Management.
∎ This is a senior position in RDRS to lead the Program Development and Fundraising activities. The position will supervise a couple of positions and undertake proposal development and fundraising related responsibilities especially focused on pre-award functions.
∎ This position is also responsible is also responsible for the management and implementation of RDRS's approach in partnering with international, local, and national NGOs and CSOs; establishing RDRS as a leader in its engagement with Bangladesh civil society, donor community, bi-lateral partners & donors to produce better outcomes for the people we serve. Ensure strong, collaborative partnerships that deliver effective and efficient program outcomes in accordance with RDRS's strategy in line with its mission, vision, and values.
