∎ Job Location - BRAC Field Offices of Munshigonj, Noakhali, Patuakhali, Jhenaidha, Netrokona, Naogaon, Dinajpur, HabiganjBachelor or Honors degree from in any recognized institution.Excellent communication and analytical ability.Basic computer operation and MS Office related knowledge.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collect daily financial data (income, expenses, savings, and loans) of assigned farmers.
∎ Accurately record all cash transactions using the designated financial diary.
∎ Assist low-literate farmers in updating their diaries using pictorial formats or support from family members.
∎ Document challenges related to procurement, sale, and storage of seeds and fertilizers.
∎ Collect information on smart agricultural practices, machinery use, and participation in training programs.
∎ Observe and report on farmers’ linkages with local and larger markets.
∎ Record data on the usage of insurance and digital financial services such as bKash, Nagad, Rocket etc of assigned farmers.
∎ Conduct regular field visits and interviews to gather qualitative insights.
∎ Ensure all collected data is accurate, timely, and complete.
∎ Submit regular field reports and updates to the supervisor.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

∎ The Farmers Financial Diary Project seeks to provide critical insights into the financial behavior, challenges, and needs of Bangladeshi farmers. Data Collector will work closely with farmers to document their daily income, expenses, savings, and borrowing practices and additionally will delve deeper into their challenges related to farming operations, including procuring materials, selling produce, and managing finances.
∎ Data collector will also involve gathering information on smart agriculture practices, such as machinery usage, access to training, and market linkages, while assessing farmers’ use of financial services like loans, savings, insurance, and digital wallets. By contributing to this project, this role will help identify tailored financial products that address farmers' unique needs and support the development of policies aimed at enhancing their financial resilience and stability.
