Job Responsibilities:
∎ FUNCTIONS:
∎ Preparation for data collection:
∎ Lead the coding of the XLS/Kobo data collection tools
∎ Support training of enumerators in data collection tools
∎ Support field teams by preparing data collection equipment (phones, tablets) ahead of daily data collection - (loading sample points, kobo tools, ensuring phones / tablets are charged)
∎ Monitor all assets and identify needs to replace and repair stock
∎ Data checking and cleaning:
∎ Monitor ongoing data collection progress
∎ Support the data specialist with the development of data checking and cleaning scripts (e.g. in R)
∎ Implement daily data checking and cleaning alongside assessment and program officer
∎ Data analysis and reporting:
∎ Support the data specialist with the development of data analysis scripts (e.g. in R)
∎ Support with development of data visualisations and outputs (e.g. in Adobe InDesign), where relevant
∎ External relations:
∎ Support engagement with relevant external actors, including data collection partners
∎ Ad Hoc:
∎ Other tasks falling within his/her functions as requested by the Data Specialist / Team.
∎ There is potential to broaden the role to GIS tasks if the applicant is suitably experienced, although not required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Software skills:
∎ Applicant must have strong skills in Microsoft office products (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
∎ Experience with Adobe Indesign is an asset.
∎ Research skills:
∎ Good knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
∎ Experience of working on different stages of the research cycle are desirable (research design, data cleaning, analysis, and visualisation)
∎ Excellent analytical skills, experience in assessments, M&E, field research or evaluations are an asset.
∎ Communication/reporting skills:
∎ Good communication and drafting skills for effective reporting;
∎ Level of independence:
∎ Ability and willingness to work autonomously;
∎ Positive work ethic and desire to work in the humanitarian field;
∎ Cross-cultural work environment:
∎ Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility;
∎ Language skills:
∎ Strong command of spoken and written English required
∎ Competency in Chittagonian is advantageous

Salary: Tk. 60901 (Monthly)
