∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ As a Database Administrator you`ll be responsible for configuring, monitoring and improving PostgreSQL & MySQL databases; query analysis to understand how teams are using the data; allocation of system storage and planning storage requirements; planning backup and recovery of database information and managing data replication.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Install, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL & MySQL software, implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup and recovery processes, provide system and SQL performance tuning and assist in business process integration with various data sources.
∎ Fulfill user requests ranging from access control, backup, restore, refresh to non-production to performance tuning.
∎ Provide online & on call coverage for production support and administration of PostgreSQL & MySQL.
∎ Responsible for regular backups and recovery of databases.
∎ Generate reports by querying from database as required.
∎ Database Replication, clustering.
∎ Database Design and Optimization.
∎ Ensure Database Security.
∎ Working experience on advanced SQL topics like (PL/pgSQL, procedures and functions, triggers, Aggregate and window functions)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience of building and deploying PostgreSQL clusters into production.
∎ Experience of working with high availability, scalable environments.
∎ Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
∎ Collaborative with strong communications skills, comfortable liaising with the business to understand user needs.
∎ Should be willing to work in cross skilled DB technologies.
∎ DBA certification will be an added qualification.
∎ Installation, configuration and management of MSSQL would be an added expertise.
∎ Strong AWS Background or another cloud skill would be an added advantage.
