∎ At least 10 years of working experience in the relevant field including 5 years practical experience in preparing budget and handling different types of national and international donor dimensional projects with presentation skills.
∎ Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Bangla.
∎ Must have English and Bangla typing skill and practical experience of using “Tally Software”.
∎ Sound knowledge and experience for audit (USAID, UN Body, GOB. NGOAB) and thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial compliance, budgeting, cost sharing and cost allocation.

Responsibilities & Context:

This position is required by a reputed national level development communication organization working in the field of Strategic Communication with GoB, USAID, World Bank, UN agencies and other development partners.
∎ Ensure internal controls, transparency, accountability, and overall financial controls as well as organizational strategic and sustainability planning.
∎ Monitor the necessary changes in regulatory management and legislation and ensure that organization standards are properly complied with before signing new deals.
∎ Implement the financial controls and auditing standards to ensure maximum utilization of limited financial resources within approved budgets.
∎ When needed, interact with the Executive Board of the organization, donors and stakeholders, on financial matters, as appropriate, and take measures to respond to their requirements, including presentation of cases if demand arises.
∎ Regularly update management on financial policy and financial control situation of the organization to help management to take important decisions that involve finance.
∎ Review quarterly/monthly financial reports for donor agency, prepare organization-wide annual financial statement/accounts etc.
∎ Focus on financial analysis for management decision of organizational sustainability.
∎ Contribute to developing/improving organizational policy and procedure related to finance, administration, HR, gender etc.
∎ Prepare, revise and monitor annual budgets for various donors as well as annual organizational budget for Board approval.
∎ Analyze budget variance for financial controlling.
∎ Work closely with the program, business development and other relevant teams to support making business proposals competitive, including proposal budget preparation and collection of information on latest prices of selective items.
∎ Ensure optimum use of financial resources within the organization.
∎ Respond to auditors/consultants’ queries during their annual audit, making policy, financial review, system design, salary survey, implementation etc.
∎ Provide guidance and assistance to the team members for their development and scaling up their capacity.
∎ Make correspondence and liaison with donors and stakeholders for financial issues as appropriate.
∎ Help in preparing various reports on financial management, capacity assessment, cost analysis, justification for management decisions.
∎ Check/verify bills/invoices/vouchers and other related documents from audit point of view to ensure compliance of applicable rules and regulations of the donors, GoB, Organizational Financial & Administrative Policy and Project Guidelines.
∎ Prepare quarterly/monthly financial report as per donor requirement.
∎ Monitor regular cost and budget analysis for controlling purposes.
∎ Help in submission of Income Tax & VAT Return for Staff Members.
∎ Any other task as and when assigned by the supervisor.
