∎ 10 to 15 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitoring the overall export & import related vehicle & logistics equipment operation of the group.
∎ Managing transportation/fleet/vehicles for carrying goods, prepare cost-effective route plans, and hire transport agencies to ensure the right product at the right place at right time.
∎ Negotiate with the vendors/agencies related to logistics support.
∎ Search warehouse for storing goods, negotiate rent with the tenant, conduct necessary work to sign an agreement with the help of the legal team and manage warehouse efficiently.
∎ Keep track record of vehicle movement & ensure necessary update of register and documentations.
∎ Tactfully handle problem while facing critical situation in road and managing any accident/ Police case of transport section.
∎ Handle the transport staffs and agencies and local authorities of all govt. offices for smooth operation.
∎ Plan security response activities to ensure security-related incidents do not occur.
∎ Develop and ensure good working relationships with external logistics agencies, suppliers and factory concern in order to support the smooth provision of logistics services across the group.
∎ Support group with professional associations in the transport and logistics industry to identify skills gaps for logistics services providers and create a curriculum and training materials to address skills gaps.
∎ Increase effectiveness and efficiency by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.
∎ Support in developing and implementing Logistics plans in line with corporate Logistics strategy in order to support the achievement of overall business objectives.
∎ Other responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 45 to 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ A minimum of 5 years' experience in the same position preferable in RMG sector.
∎ Retired Officers from Military or Police services will be given preference.
∎ A good understanding of transport, logistics, warehousing, terminal operations, and/or other fields of supply chain management and trade in Bangladesh
∎ Working experience either with Chattogram Port Authority, Private Inland Container Depots or other logistic service providers strongly preferred.
∎ An understanding of member-based organizations in Bangladesh is highly desirable, including chambers of commerce and trade associations
∎ Must be fit to travel to different project of the group and Chattogram if it is necessary.
∎ Strong communication skills in both Bangla and English languages.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft applications and other standard software.
∎ Personal attributes should include qualities such as consistency, willingness to learn and flexibility, self-motivated, and ability to work in a team, capacity to manage confidential information and convince, cultural sensitivity, able to follow through with difficult issues in an open and professional manner.
