∎ The Deputy Team Leader (DTL) based in Dhaka and directly supervised by the Team Leader of RIVER-CEMRCB Project will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of community-driven strategies that enhance resilience and adaptive capacity. This position is responsible for co-leading and overseeing community engagement efforts, mobilization initiatives, and capacity-building activities to strengthen local participation in resilient infrastructure development. DTL will work closely with stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and development partners, to foster inclusive, sustainable, and climate-resilient solutions.
∎ Assist the team leader in overall planning and implementation of the CBDRM interventions, ensuring that activities are aligned with goals of this assessment and overall objectives of the project, and are being implemented effectively and efficiently.
∎ Co-manage the team, track the progress of work of team members, provide feedback and support to the team members, and monitor overall and individual activities, and evaluate impacts
∎ Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community members, to ensure that activities are aligned with broader development goals and meet the needs of the community.
∎ Assist the team leader and coordinate the team members in preparing period reports and documentation.
∎ Coordinate and co-lead all the team members in conducting respective activities and evaluate the result or outcomes, in consultation with the team leader, along with addressing issues or obstacles in relation to performing the activities, whenever required.
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by the team leader as per project requirements.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
