Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Manage relationships with key buyers, including H&M, Inditex, Primark & ALDI, to ensure their sustainability and ethical sourcing requirements regarding chemical and environmental management systems.
∎ Oversee environmental audits and certifications, including HIGG FEM, CMA, ISO 14001, GTW, CTW, BV E3, Behive, SBTi, and water/energy audits, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
∎ Implement and monitor chemical management systems in accordance with ZDHC, MRSL, and RSL guidelines and other global standards.
∎ Conduct regular chemical inventory inspections to verify compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and maintain accurate records.
∎ Ensure adherence to local environmental regulations and international standards, including waste management, water usage, air emissions, and energy consumption.
∎ Track Data and report environmental performance indicators (e.g., waste, water, emissions, energy) to support sustainability goals and buyer requirements.
∎ Develop and execute action plans to minimise environmental impact, enhance resource efficiency, and align with the organisation’s climate roadmap.
∎ Drive the organisation’s environmental mission, vision, and long-term sustainability objectives through strategic initiatives.
∎ Update factory policies, conduct compliance reassessments, and manage agreements and official documentation to meet regulatory and buyer standards.
∎ Collaborate effectively with factory top management to align environmental strategies with business objectives.
