Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate in any discipline from any recognized Public or Private University having vast knowledge & experience in Education Counselling jobs & communications in both English & Bangla.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ A reputable organization presently has vacancies for the posts of Education Counsellors for it`s` office located in Dhaka. Education counsellors will advise students on course selection and career planning and support them in their academic pursuits. They will have to frequently provide students with information on scholarship or Non-scholarship programs and assist them in applying for them.
∎ Education Counselors will work with young adults to develop realistic and financially feasible education plans. They will be adept at developing college and career plans in tune with the needs of students from a variety of academic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Excels in the development of career curriculum and has a proven track record of guiding and mentoring students from the beginning of the educational institution application process to graduation and beyond is necessary.
∎ Job Location: Presently Dhaka but May needs tour throughout Bangladesh occasionally.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ College and career curriculum development.
∎ Student advising.
∎ Strong academic background.
∎ Passionate about financial feasibility and financial literacy.
∎ Facilitator of professional development workshops for young people.
∎ Organizing and servicing meetings (producing agendas and taking minutes).
∎ Detail-oriented and responsible.
∎ Caseload management. Prioritizing workloads.
∎ Mail communications in English & Bengali. Liaising with relevant organizations and clients.
∎ Coordinating mail-shots and similar publicity tasks.
∎ Answering calls, taking messages and handling correspondence.
∎ Maintaining diaries and arranging appointments.
∎ Typing, preparing and collating admission related papers.
∎ Filing & Managing databases.
∎ Acting as a receptionist and/or meeting and greeting clients.
∎ If more senior, recruiting, training and supervising junior staff.
∎ Implementing new procedures and administrative systems.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ The Education Counsellor needs to have about minimum 5 years' experience in counselling job in a reputed organization preferably education visa related firms.
∎ Good Knowledge in both Bangla& English communications.
∎ Sound computer skills (Office, Graphics etc.).
∎ Reporting ability.
∎ Practical experience in education visa service-related company.
∎ Must be pro-active, capable of handling multitasking activities.
∎ Amiable personality and ability to work in a team.
∎ Patience at all times.
