Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in MS in Environmental Science, Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer from a recognized university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 9 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Job Location: Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka.
∎ Willingness to work in a factory environment.
∎ Those who do not meet the requirements need not apply.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement the risk analysis process related to the job
∎ Evaluate and select the personal protective equipment for the employees
∎ Arrange the monthly meeting of the Health & safety committee
∎ Update EHS action plans resulting from Environmental and CSR internal and external audits.
∎ Participate in compliance audits and ensure the implementation of resultant corrective/preventive action plans.
∎ Authorize Safety Permits for special activities like hot work, confined space work & work at height procedure (in absence of H & S coordinator)
∎ Investigate job-related accidents and ensure the implementation of resultant corrective / preventive action plans.
∎ Communicate Lost Time Accidents to the legal applicable entities
∎ Coordinate the external laboratory test of ETP water, drinking water, air emission, workstation light and sound as per requirement.
∎ Coordinate to obtain legal permits applicable to the facility (Ex. Environmental License, fire license)
∎ Organize and train emergency brigades
∎ Organize fire evacuation drills as per annual schedule
∎ Report to the Ministry of Labor the activities performed related to safety like accident report, fire drill report and safety equipment's report
∎ Follow up inspections of ERT - fire extinguishers and fire fighting system, fire alarms. (Monthly)
∎ Perform any other operation-related function indicated by the immediate supervisor.
