∎ Job related knowledge:
∎ Clear understanding and competency on project implementation, management and monitoring. The job holder is expected to have professional knowledge on various policies of Bangladesh government regarding Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Youth Development, entrepreneurship and GESI. Experience in implementing skills training program, youth development, entrepreneurship development, soft skills, stakeholder engagement along with private sector engagement (business corporations, Chambers of commerce), internal and external communication.

∎ • ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position. The Employment Support Officer( Business & Formal job Placement) will be responsible for providing career guidance, employability training, and job placement assistance to youth beneficiaries of the project. The officer will act as a bridge between the young job seekers and potential employers, ensuring participants are prepared and supported to enter the workforce successfully.
∎ Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
∎ Key Area 1: Support to EYE team/partners’ staff for capacity building on gender transformative youth economic empowerment and employment support:
∎ • She/he will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation, coordination, and capacity building with the team members/co-partners.
∎ • Provide technical support to field staff of partner organizations to raise awareness on career preparedness, GESI and green skills so youth can have better knowledge and understanding.
∎ • Coordinate to develop materials for awareness raising sessions focusing project interventions and key messages.
∎ • Support the partners in providing training on Leadership, GESI, soft skills, entrepreneurship, and career counselling.
∎ • Support to develop/review different manuals and curriculums.
∎ • Develop a checklist or quality benchmark for successful and effective training deliverables.
∎ Key Area 2: Support to provide entrepreneurship development support to all projects of EYE program
∎ • Support the partners to arrange mentorship from local businesspeople and corporate volunteers.
∎ • Support in establishing effective alumni networks.
∎ • Support to organize job fairs and entrepreneurship fairs in the specific locations.
∎ • Coordinate to develop partnerships with employers for getting financial linkage support for youths.
∎ • Support to establish employment hubs which will be well-equipped with computers and internet support and youths will be able to work for the outsourcing activities.
∎ • Provide support to organize youth business groups.
∎ • Provide support to youth business groups in their business idea preparation and mentorship for business growth.
∎ Key Area 3: Support to planning and implementation of Youth Led Innovation Lab activities
∎ • Support to youth, facilitators, and mentor selection.
∎ • Support to organize facilitators and youth orientation on YIL.
∎ • Support youth business groups to prepare their business ideas and peaching.
∎ • Mentorship and follow up support to youth business groups.
∎ • Support to organize YIL bootcamps at district and national level.
∎ • Document meeting and workshop and the total process, steps and learning’s of YIL as of the guideline of the team.
∎ • Prepare event reports and documentation such profile building.
∎ • Format presentations and other documents as per Save the Children’s branding guidelines and specific instructions from team.
∎ Key Area 4: Program documentation, monitoring and evaluation:
∎ • Support EYE team in documentation, communication materials preparation and report preparation.
∎ • Support to learners’/participants’ list validation, database preparation.
∎ • Support MEAL team to update the project MIS, cohort baseline and follow up survey.
∎ • Prepare case story and other communication materials.
∎ • Support to conduct evaluation, learning sharing workshops.
∎ Provide support to EYE program
∎ Key Area 5: General
∎ • Take necessary actions for special assignments and additional responsibilities provided by the Line Manager
∎ • Complete tasks required by SCI management/supervisor.
∎ • Attend meetings as and when necessary.
∎ • Maintain good cooperation with different section staff.
