Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science
∎ Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field from University of Dhaka, Jahanginagar University, BUET, RUET, KUET, Bangladesh Agricultural University is preferable.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement environmental audit programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
∎ Conduct environmental audits and assessments of factories and production processes to assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
∎ Perform Supply Chain Mapping [Tier 0 - 4]
∎ Request and analyse product packaging data from suppliers and factories to ensure compliance with our environmental standards.
∎ Perform carbon emissions calculations for production processes and evaluate the production capacity.
∎ Analyse water usage and discharge to ensure compliance with regulations.
∎ Identify and manage chemicals used in production processes to minimize environmental impact.
∎ Develop and implement sustainability strategies to reduce environmental impact.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with global sustainability standards.
∎ Educate internal and external stakeholders on sustainability practices and procedures.
∎ Conduct life cycle analysis to identify opportunities for environmental improvements.
∎ Stay up-to-date with environmental regulations in responsible markets and provide weekly updates.
∎ Translate local environmental regulations from local language to English.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Minimum of 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance auditing or a related field.
∎ Proven track record on carbon emissions calculation, life cycle assessment, ETP, and production capacity evaluation.
∎ Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
∎ Knowledge of industry standards and certifications such as ICS, ISO 14001, ZDHC, Higg Index, GRS, OCS, RCS, BEPI, FSC, GOTS, Oeko-Tex, and Reach.
∎ Experience in conducting environmental assessments and audits.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with suppliers.
∎ Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and identify trends.
∎ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices and environmental management systems is an asset.
∎ Sound knowledge on Bangladesh Labor Law, EPZ Labor Law and related rules & regulation.
∎ Ability to travel domestically (4 days a week) and internationally as required.
∎ Fluency in English, both written and spoken and local language. Additional language skills are an asset.
