Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead and manage all operational functions including production, maintenance, quality control, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and warehousing.
∎ Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
∎ Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and profitability.
∎ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
∎ Oversee procurement of raw materials and ensure optimal inventory levels.
∎ Monitor and control operational budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
∎ Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance across the operations team.
∎ Collaborate closely with other departments such as Finance, HR, and Sales to support company-wide goals.
∎ Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for plant efficiency, downtime, waste reduction, and on-time delivery.
∎ Lead automation and technology adoption initiatives to modernize operations.
∎ Report regularly to the Board on operational performance and strategic initiatives
∎ Position Overview:
∎ The Executive Director – Operations will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing and operational functions of one of the largest spinning mills. This includes production planning, quality assurance, cost control, supply chain coordination, and operational strategy alignment with business goals. The role demands an experienced leader with deep technical knowledge of spinning mill operations, strong people management skills, and a sharp business acumen.
