Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain accurate stock levels through regular inventory checks and updates.
∎ Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing material.
∎ Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials.
∎ Inspect goods for damage and accuracy upon arrival.
∎ Ensure materials are stored safely, efficiently, and according to company procedures.
∎ Use space effectively to optimize stockyard layout.
∎ Maintain logs, reports, and documents related to stock movements.
∎ Update stock regularly.
∎ Enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
∎ Ensure equipment is used safely and appropriately.
∎ Supervise and coordinate staff like crane operators and helpers for loading and unloading.
∎ Train new workers in procedures and safety guidelines.
∎ Work closely with the production & delivery team to ensure smooth operations.
∎ Coordinate with transport companies and drivers at the time of material receiving.
∎ Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports for management regarding stock status and movement.
∎ Address issues like misplaced items, delays, or stock discrepancies promptly.
