∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience and strong expertise in knit fabrics, particularly circular and fine knits.This role involves fabric sourcing, development, and coordination with cross-functional teams to support innovative and trend-driven design projects.
∎ Experience: 2-3 years of experience in fabric sourcing or coordination, with a focus on circular and fine knits.
∎ Skills: In-depth knowledge of knit fabric types, properties, and production processes.
∎ Familiarity with yarn types, knitting technologies, and finishing techniques specific to circular and fine knits.Strong organizational and time-management skills.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and fabric tracking systems.Effective communication and negotiation skills for vendor and cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Fabric Sourcing and Development: Source from the mills and develop high-quality circular and fine knit fabrics in alignment with seasonal design briefs and trends.
∎ Collaborate with mills and suppliers to create custom fabrics as per design requirements.
∎ Stay updated on the latest trends in knit fabrics, yarns, and finishes to propose innovative solutions to the design team.
∎ Fabric Coordination:Maintain a well-organized fabric library with detailed records of fabric compositions, specifications, and samples.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely delivery of fabrics to meet design timelines.
∎ Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with designers to ensure fabric selections align with garment construction and functionality.
∎ Provide technical input on fabric properties, including stretch, durability, and drape, to optimize garment designs.
∎ We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabric Coordinator – Circular/Fine Knits to join our design department in Dhaka.
