Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborate with the design team to understand seasonal themes, target demographics, and market trends.
∎ Develop creative concepts for Denim and Non-Denim fabrics, considering factors like texture, color, patterns, and finishing techniques.
∎ Conduct market research to identify trends in denim and non-denim fabrics.
∎ Develop fabric specifications based on brand aesthetic and customer requirements.
∎ Manage the fabric development process from concept to production.
∎ Work with other designers and merchandisers to ensure that fabrics meet the needs of the brand.
∎ Stay up-to-date on the latest fabric technologies and trends.
∎ Research and source appropriate materials for Denim and Non-Denim fabrics while staying updated on industry innovations.
∎ Experiment with different weaving techniques, dyeing methods, and surface treatments to create unique and appealing fabrics.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Proven experience as a Fabric Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative fabric designs, color palettes, and patterns.
∎ Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and textile-specific software.
∎ Knowledge of fabric construction, weaving techniques, dyeing methods, and printing processes.
∎ Strong understanding of color theory, trends, and their application to fabric design.
∎ Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying design concepts and collaborating with teams.
∎ Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality control.
∎ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
∎ Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly fabric practices is a plus.
