Job Responsibilities:
∎ Actively participate in the development of the business, align with Product Development, Marketing and Sales Managers in developing and sourcing fabrics to meet design the sales & merchandising requirements, and the corporate goals.
∎ Promote innovation, in constant brainstorming with fabric mills for research and development on fabric construction and finishes.
∎ Build seasonal conceptual packages on Fabric Research & Development for different market categories.
∎ Propose fabric trends to cross functional teams.
∎ Prepare and update cost analysis sheet on all fabrics.
∎ Constantly work with the fabric mills to reduce wastages and costs; to improve efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness.
∎ Ensure sample and bulk fabrics will meet the customers’ technical parameters.
∎ Troubleshoot, provide technical solution, and resolve fabric development and bulk production issues in knitting, dyeing, AOP and fabric finishing.
∎ Validate the technical sheets and upkeep the databank on fabrics development.
∎ Maintain a fruitful relationship with textile mills local and foreign.
∎ Develop and maintain Quality Assurance SOPs with the textile mills.
∎ Effectively and consistently communicate with all key cross functional partners on fabric development and related issues.
∎ Maintain an updated fabric library and build the fabric archives.
∎ Proactively manage sample yardage with fabric mills.
∎ Maintain update information on all fabric mills, on machinery, production capacities and capabilities.
∎ Analyze seasonal data
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 32 years
∎ Age 32 and above
∎ Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
∎ Adherence to Company’s Code of Conduct, especially on integrity and confidentiality.
∎ Strong technical knowledge of yarns, fabric construction, knitting techniques
∎ Proven hands-on experience in Fabric R&D,
∎ Extensive experience in knitting, dyeing, AOP and fabric finishing.
∎ Sound knowledge of SOPs for Knitting, Fabric Dyeing, AOP and Fabric Finishing
∎ Ability to meet strict deadlines, to handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities
