Job Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 upazilas under 51 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ As partnership with Local Government Division, ESDO is implementing the Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project-II at Gaibandha District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide maternal and child health services. Deliver 24/7 NVD services. Conduct family planning services
∎ Organize satellite clinics and health education sessions. Maintain different register and documents
∎ Preparation of need based reports and any other tasks as per the Government service rules of FWV.
∎ Family planning services consist of clinic services home visits and clinic assistance at the Clinic.
∎ Motivation and follow-up visits are also discussed. Other areas of study are: maternal-child health care emergency care referral services and the technical and administrative functions.
∎ Eligible family planning recipients are married women aged 15 to 45 years who are regularly menstruating. Upon divorce eligibility is lost. Clinic services include Copper-T-insertion and follow-up care.
∎ Although women are usually escorted by a CHW some come on their own. Unless there is a health problem they tend not to return for follow-up check-ups.
∎ Follow-up care involves check-ups and treatment of side effects of contraceptives. The most common reason for visiting the Sub center Clinic is for advice on contraception. As part of the home visit service the FWVs are responsible to motivate both men and women to become contraceptive users.
∎ The Bari Mothers Register is used to keep the following information: the clients name and census number the date and the number of packets of contraceptives given to the client and the date and number of packets received from the CHW.
∎ The Family Register Demographic Surveillance File contains basic information on each family and is updated by the CHWs
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 01 years working experience in relevant position.
∎ During the service period the employees have to stay at the Union Health and Family Welfare Centre 24 hours.
∎ Priority will be given to qualified local applicant.
Salary: Tk. 21700 (Monthly)
