Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Nari Maitree (NM), a well-established women-led NGO with 42 years of dedicated service in Bangladesh, is launching an exciting new project, "Together We Lead," in partnership with UN Women. This initiative aims to foster positive shifts in gender norms among forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals (Rohingya) and host communities in Cox's Bazar. We are seeking passionate and skilled individuals to join our team in our Cox's Bazar Office and contribute to this impactful work, building upon Nari Maitree's extensive experience across various development sectors.
∎ Ensure proper financial management and accountability for the project. Develop and maintain financial systems, policies, and procedures in line with organizational and donor requirements.
∎ Prepare project budgets in consultation with relevant stakeholders. Monitor and track project expenses against approved budgets. Provide regular financial forecasts to inform decision-making.
∎ Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and regulations.
∎ Manage financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and payroll. Review and approve financial documents such as invoices, vouchers, and expense reports. Ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
∎ Ensure compliance with donor regulations and financial guidelines. Coordinate with the project team and relevant stakeholders to fulfill donor requirements and address any financial queries or audits.
∎ Provide financial analysis, advice, and support to project management. Assist in decision-making processes by providing financial insights and recommendations.
∎ Monitor financial aspects of grant agreements, including disbursements, reporting, and compliance. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to donors.
∎ Manage project procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and negotiating contracts. Coordinate logistics for project activities, including travel arrangements, accommodation, and procurement of goods and services.
∎ Support human resource management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management. Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.
∎ Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the project office. Maintain office supplies, equipment, and infrastructure. Ensure a safe, clean, and conducive working environment.
∎ Establish and maintain a systematic filing and record-keeping system for project documents, including contracts, agreements, personnel files, and correspondence.
∎ Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on changes in regulations and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
∎ Maintain an inventory of project assets, including equipment, vehicles, and other resources. Ensure proper asset tracking, maintenance, and disposal as per organizational guidelines.
∎ Facilitate effective communication and coordination within the project team and with external stakeholders. Support the project in organizing meetings, workshops, and events.
