Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Audit designs and plans for fire protection systems in the apparel manufacturing environment, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, fire alarms, and other fire suppression systems Ensure that all designs are followed with relevant codes and regulations specific to the apparel manufacturing industry, including National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and local fire codes Collaborate with other engineering and production teams to ensure that fire protection systems are properly integrated with other manufacturing systems, such as HVAC, electrical systems, and equipment layouts Oversee the installation of fire protection systems and provide guidance to construct and install teams Conduct field inspections to ensure that installed systems meet design specifications and code requirements Maintain accurate records of all design and installation work, including specifications, plans, and inspection reports Provide technical guidance and support to other engineering and maintenance teams when required Keep up to date with changes in relevant codes and regulations, as well as advancements in fire protection technology Perform other duties as assigned by management
