∎ Bachelor/Honors
∎ Minimum Diploma in Fire Science and Fire Safety Management.
∎ Bachelor's degree (preferred) in any discipline.
∎ Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) will be considered an added advantage.

∎ 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a fire safety role, preferably in the garments or manufacturing industry.
∎ Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law and Fire Safety Regulations.
∎ Ability to train, motivate, and guide workers on fire safety protocols.
∎ Good communication skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ Computer literacy (MS Office, Email) is required.
∎ Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure workplace health, fire safety, and emergency preparedness in compliance with local laws, buyer standards, and industry best practices.
∎ Conduct regular fire drills, health & safety training, and awareness sessions for workers and management.
∎ Inspect, monitor, and maintain firefighting equipment (e.g., extinguishers, hydrants, alarms) to ensure operational readiness at all times.
∎ Perform risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
∎ Develop, update, and implement fire safety plans and emergency evacuation procedures.
∎ Collaborate with external auditors, fire service departments, and compliance bodies during inspections and audits.
∎ Prepare and maintain fire safety documentation and reports as required.
∎ Work independently to proactively manage all fire safety responsibilities without direct supervision.
∎ Job Context:
∎ The Fire Safety Officer will ensure compliance with fire safety standards, conduct regular inspections, train staff on emergency procedures, and maintain firefighting equipment. The role focuses on preventing fire hazards and responding effectively to emergencies to protect workers, property, and operations in the garments factory.
