Job Context:
∎ SS Power I Ltd. a joint venture company (JVC) between S. Alam Group of Bangladesh and Chinese companies, SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co., Limited (SEPCOIII in short) and HTG Development Group Co., is one of the largest investments ever in the power sector of Bangladesh by any Private Company with the intent of providing sustainable and reliable power supply to the Country to attain self-sufficiency and meet its developmental needs. SS Power I Ltd is currently executing the 2 x 660 MW Coal fired Super Critical Thermal Power Plant at Banskhali near Chittagong on a Build, Own and Operate Model.
∎ To meet immediate requirements, we are looking for Fireman for our O&M Company named "C&H Power Management Company Limited":
∎ Job Location: Banskhali, Chattogram Project Site Office.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Protect employee & asset during real emergency situation.
∎ Operate fire water truck, foam truck, fire hydrant on regular basis, during fire drill and in real emergency.
∎ Prevent fire damage by conducting daily inspection for hazards and implementing firefighting codes. Ensure availability & functionality of central firefighting system and mobile firefighting unit (water truck, foam truck).
∎ Arrange & conduct regular fire drills as per guidance from HSE Manager & Plant Manager.
∎ Conduct regular training to selected O&M personnel on basic firefighting technique and conduct joint fire drill as per yearly schedule.
∎ Collaborate with O&M department during periodic inspection & maintenance on fire alarm system, central firefighting system.
∎ Maintain fire station building, central firefighting system, and related equipment by complying with maintenance schedules.
∎ Learn, evaluate & adapt to new equipment and techniques related to firefighting.
∎ Able to handle minor medical care and other emergency rescue services.
∎ Conduct regular inspection and notify supervisor of needed repairs for firefighting system in advance.
∎ Ensure full time operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting of malfunctions.
∎ Maintain liaison with local firefighting & civil defense station for regular communication and collaborative effort (e.g. combined drill) as per arranged by HSE Manager or Plant Management team.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 07 - 08 years of experience of operating fire truck.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Fire and safety, Fire safety Management.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG) or other large factory/industry.
∎ Hard working, Good inter-personal & communication skills.
∎ Good team player, well-organized, initiative and detail-oriented.
∎ Retired or ex-government employee in Fire Service & Civil Defense team will be given preference.
∎ The Candidates should have Fire Training Certificate (certificate from Fire Service and Civil Defense Training Complex, Mirpur, Dhaka will be given preference).
