∎ At least 5 years and above experience in any reputed private commercial bank with 3 (three) years’ practical experience at Foreign Exchange Desk in any Central Trade Processing Centre.
∎ Postgraduate degree preferably in business administration with a strong academic background (no third class in any examination).
∎ In-depth knowledge of foreign trade operations (export, import, remittance), Import & Export Policy, Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, ICC publications (UCP, URR, URC), and Bangladesh Bank’s Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions.
∎ Well-versed in import/export procedures, including document scrutiny, negotiation, processing of cash incentives, lodgment, and retirement, with a solid understanding of commercial documents.
∎ Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
∎ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
∎ Proficient in using computer applications and online trade software modules.
∎ Smart appearance with a pleasant and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Handle and process all import and export documentations, including Letters of Credit (LCs), bills of lading, and other trade-related documents and papers; process cash incentive and duty drawback claims in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
∎ Ensure full compliance with international trade laws, banking regulations, and internal and external policies related to trade operations.
∎ Manage trade finance activities such as LC issuance, bill collection, and negotiation; prepare and verify all vouchers related to export and import bill settlements, ensuring proper recovery of interest, commissions, and charges.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with importers and exporters, providing expert advice, guidance, and responsive support on trade-related matters.
∎ Liaise effectively with regulators, internal departments including business units, branches, customers, credit, credit administration, and senior management to ensure smooth trade operations.
∎ Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies for improving processing efficiency and enhancing service delivery, when required.
∎ Prepare and submit accurate reports on trade transactions for regulatory dashboards, monthly returns, and other statutory requirements.
