Job Context:
∎ The incumbent project "PERSIST" is aimed at "Improved knowledge and skills for adolescent girls and young women on SRHR, CSE and on CEFM prevention and response, leadership skills and menstrual hygiene management including risk communication messaging for COVID-19". Under the project, adolescent girls supported menstrual hygiene management to improve school attendance and prevent the spread of COVID-19 Through promoting the gender-responsive WASH and MHM promotion in schools, the project plans to reach more than 9000 adolescent girls. The project will initiate the activation of the School brigade in more than 50 schools and will support schools with appropriate facilities for girls including the establishment of MHM corners, introducing Sanitary Pad Vending Machine, and Sanitary Pad incinerators to ensure that proper MHM facilities and services available in schools.
∎ This position`s purpose is to ensure overall coordination of quality program implementation within the project impact area and coordinate with district/ Upazila administration on regular basis. The position also aims to coordinate with the partner organization to ensure their roles to deliver activities efficiently and effectively.
∎ This project will rehabilitate spaces that can serve as information and orientation centers for young people for SRHR services, and ensure they are disability-friendly.
∎ The position also aims to work closely with the project staffs and the partner staffs to deliver, promote monitor gender-responsive, adolescent-friendly SRHR, and psychosocial support services & information, including CEFM and COVID-19 for married/unmarried adolescent girls"
∎ This position purposes to ensure monitoring & evaluation, networking and coordination, communications with district/ Upazila level government gender and SRHR focal point, capacity building for project staff as well as government SRHR staffs working under project implementation area.
∎ This position requires frequent field visits, confidence in writing qualitative reports, practical use of PLA tools and techniques.
∎ This position will report to the Project Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strengthened and sustainable community capacity to advocate for, support, promote and sustain an adolescent-friendly, gender-responsive and CEFM-free environment for adolescent girls and young women. During community, consultations several barriers and issues around gender equality were raised that directly relate to this outcome.
∎ Improved knowledge and skills of local women's organizations, men's groups, faith/traditional leaders, and other community influencers to address barriers to adolescent/youth SRHR including gender roles, cultural and religious barriers, and negative consequences of CEFM.
∎ Engaging with men and boys through proven WV models including Men Care and critical partners in tackling gender inequality and carving out a role for men as positive, supportive, protective (of daughters) fathers and husbands.
∎ A comprehensive gender analysis will take place at the onset of project implementation during the baseline to allow for a deeper understanding of context-specific gender dynamics.
∎ Strengthen governance policy and public engagement of Public Health through building capacity of government health staff and community health workers at district/ Upazila level.
∎ Ensure participatory Monitoring & Evaluation system.
∎ Networking, linkage, and coordination with project staff including partner organization, respective department at district/ Upazila level, local government, WV Cluster/ Zonal & National office.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Background (academic or experience) in gender and SRHR
∎ Knowledge of current development and humanitarian issues
∎ Knowledge and skill in engaging community and partners
∎ Good conceptual and practical skills to write project concept papers and design documents of the project.
∎ Experience in Baseline survey, Evaluation and Monitoring process and tools.
∎ Good facilitation skill of Training, Seminar and community engagement.
∎ Strong Knowledge of social dimension, Legal structure of the local government, power dynamics and government relations
∎ Good communication, networking and facilitation skills
∎ Good proficiency in Bengali and English both written and verbal
∎ Good time management skills
∎ Decision making, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
∎ Good report writing and documentation ability
∎ Minimum of 3 years working experiences working in development at the community level, especially in working with local community members and partners
∎ Knowledge and experience on Gender and SRHR
∎ Experience working with CSOs, INGOs / NGOs to implement community development projects

Salary: Tk. 65000 - 75000 (Monthly)
