Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma or Certificate in Public Health or Geriatric Health related field or experienced people education will be relax.

Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract up to 31st August 2022
∎ Job Purpose: Promotion of adoption of food security and livelihoods activities for households with older people over 60 years old, towards their improved livelihoods and access to food towards improved nutrition and wellbeing.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Implementation:
∎ Select project beneficiaries with respect and impartiality, and ensuring the required coverage of the project areas.
∎ Identify all households with older people over 60 years, and identify a member of the household willing to participate in the project together with the older person
∎ Mobilize selected older person helpers per household and form working groups according to the household locations, ensuring coverage of the whole project area.
∎ Conduct home visits to households with older persons to monitor progress on activities and wellbeing of the older persons, and their recommendations
∎ Support older person helpers to identify the needs and preferences of the older persons, and identify the most feasible homs garden types and home based income generation activities for them for the quarter, such as gardens, poultry, etc
∎ Build capacity of older person helpers to capture and report on activities progress according to support received from the project
∎ Conduct quarterly sessions with older person helpers for training and review of ongoing activities
∎ Support the development of a pictorial book of innovative nutritious meals recipes for older people, through participatory cooking sessions
∎ Distribute project materials to target beneficiaries, and promote the utilisation as per project design, to achieve project objectives
∎ Conduct on the job coaching to older person helpers on a regular basis to maintain high quality and accountability to beneficiaries, all the way to the household level.
∎ Coordination:
∎ Mobilize community leaders and influential persons for sensitization meetings to ensure buy in and beneficiaries trust and willingness to participate in the project
∎ Liaise with other Concern project field teams to ensure integration of all projects within Concern Worldwide, for smooth operation and mutual support.
∎ Human Resource Management:
∎ Ensure an enabling, friendly, collaborative and professional working culture with fellow staff and beneficiaries and adherence to Concern policies and procedures.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation.
∎ Participate in regular team meetings to discuss activity progress and learning.
∎ Work with Community Mobilizer-Small Business to identify and address implementation bottlenecks.
∎ Support MEAL team in data collection for surveys and evaluations.
∎ Ensure the feedback mechanism for accountability to beneficiaries is operational in the project areas.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Share weekly field activities updates with the Community Mobilizer-Small Business.
∎ Work with MEAL to build capacity of older person helpers to use the M&E tools.
∎ Additional Roles:
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's HR policies, concern's Code of Conduct and its associated policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability to ensure protection to programme beneficiaries.
∎ Perform other duties assigned by Community Mobilizer-Small Business or Project Officer - FSL
∎ Accountability :
∎ In line with Concern's commitments under the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS):
∎ actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle (planning, implementation, M&E);
∎ work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed;
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behaviour is disseminated among programme participants and communities.
∎ Person specifications:
∎ Good knowledge on Rohingya refugee context is required
∎ Ability to communicate fluently in Rohingya language or Chittagonian is required

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in community nutrition, IYCF and/or mother care groups is required.
∎ Experience working with older people over 60 years would be an advantage

Salary: Tk. 29541 (Monthly)
