Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Support the Sales team in achieving the Annual Business Plan (ABP) with focus on distribution, visibility, and market share.
∎ Collaborate with Sales for coverage, display, and distribution targets aligned with ABP.
∎ Guide brand- and pack-wise target setting; break down goals geographically and by time period.
∎ Help define sales territories and assist with inventory planning through secondary sales analysis.
∎ Track sales trends, market updates, opportunities, and competition regularly.
∎ Drive channel-wise distribution strategy to build volumes and visibility, especially in traditional trade.
∎ Conduct periodic business reviews – weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
∎ Monitor financials with accounts to ensure top-line and profit targets are met.Lead major sales negotiations and manage key accounts.
∎ Develop and manage the sales team; assess productivity and training needs.
∎ Forecast revenue, set growth plans, and improve market share across product lines.
∎ Align internal resources for consistent sales performance; set and review policies and budgets.
∎ Organize training, monitor expenses, and conduct regular sales meetings.
∎ Continuously strive for process improvement, innovation, and excellence in all aspects of sales operations to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
