Job Context:
∎ Bit Body Bangladesh Limited (BBBL) is a subsidiary of Bit Body, Inc., USA. We manufacture custom made clothing for our clients globally under our own brand MTailor (www.MTailor.com). Some of our products include dress shirts, suits, jeans, khakis and tees.
∎ BBBL is looking for a Head of Finance & Accounts with proven work experience as Head/Deputy Head of Finance & Accounts or similar role. This person will report to BD CEO and US Team, supervise all financial & Accounting related tasks of our company and ensure we use capital and resources beneficially.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Financial Controls - Financial controls include reconciliations, dividing the responsibilities and following the GAAP standards of accounting principles, all of which are implemented with view toward compliance, fraud and theft prevention.
∎ Payroll - Payroll is a critical function of the accounting department and includes making sure all employees are paid accurately and timely. In addition, proper tax is assessed and tax payments are on time with Government Treasury
∎ Accounts Payable (money out) - In order to maintain great relationships with vendors making sure that everyone gets paid on time is a vital role.
∎ Reporting and Financial Statements - The primary reason you collect data properly in the accounting software is to prepare financial reports that can be used for budgeting, forecasting and other decision making processes.
∎ Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
∎ Prepare monthly budgets and monitor the same
∎ Allocate resources and manage cash flows
∎ Receive and process petty cash cash payments, manage petty cash fund and handle disbursement
∎ Upload all petty cash transactions in our accounting software and attach relevant invoice/receipt in the system
∎ Categorize all transactions in our accounting software so that the financial reports reflect correct position
∎ Upload all invoices of vendors and other suppliers on a weekly basis in our accounting software
∎ Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
∎ Quarterly FDI reporting to Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank)
∎ Ensure all program initiatives align with the company's core values and culture
∎ Coordinate with external Auditors to prepare final accounts after audit for submission of tax returns
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Proven work experience as a Head of Finance & Accounts or similar role
∎ In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
∎ Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
∎ Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
∎ Proficiency in accounting software
∎ Solid analytical and decision-making skills
∎ A Master's degree holder preferably an MBA (Major in Finance) or M.Com (CA qualified,
∎ ACA) from a recognized university/institution
∎ At least 10 years of working experience preferably in a manufacturing set-up
∎ Budget focused mindset
∎ Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English both written and speaking
∎ Must be Tech Savvy with great skills in spreadsheet
