Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Financial Controls – Financial controls include reconciliations, dividing the responsibilities and following the IFRS & GAAP standards of accounting principles, all of which are implemented with view toward compliance, fraud and theft prevention.
∎ Payroll - Proper tax of all employees are assessed and tax payments are on time with Government Treasury
∎ Accounts Payable (money out) – Need to maintain great relationships with vendors, making sure that everyone gets paid on time and related TDS & VAT deducted at source
∎ Reporting and Financial Statements – The primary reason you need to collect data properly in the company’s accounting software in order to prepare financial reports that can be used for budgeting, forecasting and other decision making processes.
∎ Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
∎ Prepare monthly budgets and monitor the same
∎ Allocate resources and manage cash flows
∎ Receive and process petty cash payments, manage petty cash fund and handle disbursement
∎ Supervise upload of all petty cash transactions in company’s accounting software and attach relevant invoice/receipt in the system
∎ Categorize all transactions in accounting software so that the financial reports reflect correct position
∎ Supervise upload of all invoices of vendors and other suppliers on a weekly basis in company’s accounting software
∎ Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
∎ Quarterly FDI reporting to Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank) through our designated bank
∎ Ensure all program initiatives align with the company’s core values and culture
∎ Coordinate with external auditors to prepare final accounts after audit for submission of tax returns
∎ Handle all Tax, & VAT related issues of the the company with the concerned authorities
∎ Handle all payment instructions through BEFTN/RTGS or through cheques
∎ Supervise and manage Commercial and Inventory team
∎ Ensure all inventories are counted physically and in terms of value time to time particularly value at year-end for book closure purpose
∎ Ensure all licenses are renewed on time
∎ Claim cash incentive or any other incentive/refunds as declared by the GOB for RMG
∎ Liaison with commercial banks to maximize the credit facilities and turnaround time
