Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Commerce (MCom) in Finance

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish standards and procedures to ensure that the internal systems are effective in preventing, detecting, identifying and correcting noncompliance with applicable SOP's, laws and regulations of SHN, Government of Bangladesh and donor (if applicable)
∎ Plan and coordinate the formulation of organization's risk-based annual internal audit plan aligned.
∎ Oversee the implementation as per plan.
∎ Identify business process risks and develop testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls.
∎ Assist senior management in strategy development and advice on financial, operational, risk management, compliance and internal control matters as required; evaluate effectiveness of existing policies and give recommendation for improvement.
∎ Undertake regularly scheduled and ad-hoc audits of finance, human resources, and procurement records and administration.
∎ Review and ensure the quality of the internal control systems and evaluate their adequacy and effectiveness
∎ When required, leads investigations into areas of noncompliance and makes recommendations to the SHN regarding results of the investigations.
∎ Promote staff awareness of relevant regulations applicable to SHN staff, assisting on all ethics and compliance matters to ensure ethical business practices.
∎ Other relevant duties assigned by the SHN board.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 32 years
∎ Experience in internal audits, fraud investigation, establishing compliance systems, compliance training and adherence.
∎ Skilled in developing and implementing compliance and controls system preferably in large entities with multiple locations, staff and stakeholders.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with multidimensional teams.
∎ Familiarity with Government of Bangladesh, donor and national/ international assistance programs compliance policies and requirements.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), cloud-based software and have the ability to use variously commercially available accounting software programs.
∎ Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal and fluency in English and Bangla.
∎ Strong writing skills in both English and Bangla.

Salary: Negotiable
